Before entering Freedom House, each individual must undergo an assessment to ensure that the Center can appropriately help the individual reach their goals and meet their needs.

If there is a need for detoxification, and depending on the severity of it, the individual will enter a detoxification Center or a hospital, depending on the availability, for approximately 12 to 15 days before entering the Center. In the case of a less severe detoxification the individual will receive prescribed medication in the Center for a maximum of 15 days. If the individual must enter a detoxification Center, the client must pay the costs of the detoxification program, which may include costs such as transportation, medication or any other costs associated with the detoxification process.

Freedom House works in collaboration with our local CLSC and clinic, hospitals, specialized centers and professionals to help accommodate the client’s needs.
