Philosophy

Freedom House is dedicated to providing the highest quality individualized treatment for alcoholism and chemical dependency in a caring and compassionate environment. Confidentiality is maintained with utmost respect. Our philosophy is to treat individuals with dignity and to replace hopelessness, fear and despair, with optimism, hope and a new vision of life.

Freedom House offers a gateway to sobriety filled with new insights and living skills. We provide treatment in a caring and supportive environment that preserves dignity and respect for the individual. We provide a continuum of care including residential inpatient and outpatient treatment. Our primary focus is to assist clients and their families return to a healthy and positive state of being. We believe recovery is a way of life. Therefore our clients are introduced to the concepts which emphasize the philosophy and practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Reality and Choice Therapy and AA, NA, 12 Steps support system.

Freedom House’s goals are:

 To rehabilitate and re-educate its clientele in order to enable them to live their lives substance free and lead a healthy and productive lifestyle.

Introduce the client to the Twelve Steps.

Assess and meet the medical needs of the client by referral.

Assess and meet the psychological needs of the client by referral.

Establish a referral network system for services not rendered in our program.

Help the client to overcome their fears and isolation associated with chemical dependency.

bullet

Assist the client to resolve any legal issues which they may have involving criminal activities.

bullet

Assist the client to become a productive member of society and community workforce.

bullet

Develop a therapeutical discharge plan.
